Tyranny:
For 43 years, we the people of Iran have been living under a tyrannical regime that has systematically violated the human rights of its citizens. Young girls and boys, as well as innocent people of all ages, have been arrested for peaceful protest and subjected to brutal and inhumane treatment at the hands of heavily armed and imported militias. These militias have been known to kill, injure, arrest, torture, rape, and kill innocent Iranians, often with little or no regard for due process or the rule of law.
Many of those arrested are forced to confess to crimes they did not commit, and are then executed in public. This kind of state-sponsored violence and repression has no place in a civilized society, and it is a gross violation of the fundamental human rights of the people of Iran.
We call on the international community, especially Russia and China to take action to end the 43 years of tyranny in Iran and to support the people of Iran in their struggle for freedom, democracy, and human rights. We urge the United Nations and other international organizations to investigate and hold accountable those responsible for these human rights violations and to support the people of Iran in their efforts to build a free and democratic society.
We also call on the Iranian government to respect the rights and dignity of its people, to release all political prisoners, and to end the repression and violence that have characterized its rule for far too long. The people of Iran deserve to live in peace, with freedom, and dignity.
Signed,
The people of Iran, suffering for 43 years.
